 The Navy has awarded GE Aviation [GE] a $460 million contract for the repair and replacement of components of F414 engines that power F/A-18 Super Hornets and EA-18G Growlers, the company said Tuesday.The performance based logistics contract covers work from 2015 through 2017 provides operational readiness requirements for the engines at locations in Lemoore, Calif., and Jacksonville, Fla.GE Aviation has been carrying out the work under the logistics contracts since 2002, the company said.The F414 engine offers 22,000 pounds of…
