L-3 Acquires Australian Marine Firm

L-3 Communications [LLL] said on Sunday it has acquired HSA Systems Pty Ltd of Australia, a $10 million a year provider of geospatial, marine and electronic systems for maritime and defense customers. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. HSA produces and maintains nautical charts, and supplies customized software and information technology systems for the Australian Hydrographic Services, the Royal Australian Navy and Land Information New Zealand.
