IBM [IBM] recently lodged a protest with the Government Accountability Office (GAO) over its loss to Lockheed Martin [LMT] for a potential $1 billion contract to develop a multi-modal biometric matching system for the FBI. What will happen next is unclear. The FBI declined comment on the matter.
