DHS Seeks $38.2 Billion In FY ’15, Including Funds For Final National Security Cutter

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on Tuesday said it is seeking $38.2 billion in net discretionary funding in FY ’15 from Congress, representing a nearly 3 percent decrease from FY ’14 spending levels of $39.2 billion with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Coast Guard, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), grant programs administered by Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and the Science and Technology (S&T) branch bearing the weight of most of the decline.
