Army Orders 32 EADS NA UH-72A Lakotas

The European Aeronautic Defence and Space Co. North America (EADS NA) this week said the Army has ordered a total of 32 UH-72A Lakotas for Fiscal Year 2011, which will sustain production. The latest contract lifts Lakota orders to 219, composed of 214 rotary-wing aircraft for the Army and five for the Navy. Another Army order for 18 more UH-72As is projected in the current fiscal year budget, with the Army targeting a total acquisition of 345 helicopters through 2015,…
