JASSM-ER Approved For Full-Rate Production

The U.S. Air Force approved the full-rate production of Lockheed Martin’s [LMT] Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile–Extended Range (JASSM-ER), the company said on Monday. The JASSM-ER previously completed the Air Force Initial Operational Test and Evaluation (IOT&E) flight testing in 2013. The JASSM-ER had a 95 percent success rate during this initial testing while scoring 20 successes in 21 flights, the company said. Lots 11 and 12 of the JASSM-ER contract were awarded in December 2013, which included 100 ER missiles.…
