Tarantulas and Asian giant hornets in Taiwan are a subplot of a nearly $1 billion settlement RTX [RTX] reached last week with the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ). Deterring a Chinese invasion of Taiwan--an attack that defense oracles believe may come by 2027--has been a central topic at defense conferences, especially over the last five years.
