Senators Affirm Plans to Fund A-10 Warthog Through FY 2016

A group of senators—including the Senate Armed Services Committee chairman—indicated they would oppose the Air Force’s plan to retire the A-10 Warthog, signaling that they will push for funding the aircraft in defense authorization bill deliberations next week."With the upcoming markup of the defense authorization [bill], we plan to ensure that the A-10 is preserved so that our men and women on the ground have the very best close air support capability because they deserve it,” Sen.
