KC-46 Refuels A-10, Setting Stage For Milestone C Decision

The KC-46 program completed all flight tests required for the Milestone C decision by offloading 1,500 pounds of fuel to an A-10 on July 15, according to an Air Force statement.The A-10 refueling mission was the last of six in-flight refueling demonstrations required before the program can request approval from the Defense Department’s acquisition czar, Frank Kendall, to award low rate initial production (LRIP) Lots 1 and 2, totaling 19 aircraft.
