Iraq Seeking $5 Billion Sale of 140 Abrams Tanks, 392 LAVs

Iraq has requested a possible sale of 140 M1A1 Abrams tanks modified and upgraded to the M1A1M Abrams configuration, as well as associated equipment and services that, if all options are exercised, could be as high as $2.16 billion, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) reported.
