Freshman Lawmakers Fill Up HASC-D Vice Chair Seats

The House Armed Services Committee (HASC) Feb. 1 announced the lineup of subcommittee vice chairs for the 116th Congress, and all six are lawmakers who were just elected to Congress in 2018. Committee Chair Rep. Adam Smith (D-Wash.) named the following members to vice chair positions in a Friday press statement: Rep. Jason Crow (D-Colo.), a former U.S. Army Ranger who served tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, will be the number-two Democrat on the Intelligence, Emerging Threats & Capabilities Subcommittee.…
