General Dynamics Electric Boat Corp., Groton, Connecticut, was awarded a $967,185,528 cost-plus-fixed-fee modification to previously awarded contract N00024-20-C-2120 for lead yard support and development studies and design efforts related to Virginia Class submarines. Work will be performed in Groton, Connecticut (95%); McLeansville, North Carolina (3%); Newport News, Virginia (1%); and Newport and Quonset, Rhode Island (1%), and is expected to be completed by October 2024. Fiscal 2023 research, development, test and evaluation (Navy) funding in the amount of $110,000,001 (99%); and fiscal 2021 shipbuilding and conversion (Navy) funding in the amount of $1,000,000 (1%), will be obligated at time of award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
