Army Holding Industry Day In March For New Autonomous Weapon Targeting Program

The Army said Tuesday it will hold an industry day in March for its new program to leverage artificial intelligence for future autonomous targeting capabilities on its weapons systems. Officials are also accepting white papers from industry to detail specific technologies to support the Advanced Targeting and Lethality Automated System (ATLAS) program. “The Army has a desire to leverage recent advances in computer vision and artificial intelligence [and] machine learning to develop autonomous target acquisition technology, that will be integrated…
