Army Awards Multi-Year GMLRS Deal To Lockheed, Includes First Extended Range Rockets

The Army has awarded Lockheed Martin [LMT] a multi-year contract for Guided Multiple Launch Rocket Systems initially worth up to $4.1 billion, with the deal covering the first production order for the new extended range version of the rocket. An Army spokesperson confirmed to Defense Daily the deal was awarded on Sept. 23 and involved converting an existing contract into the new undefinitized, multi-year deal. “The award is intended to be definitized as part of a three-year multi-year contract demonstrating…
