Sea Launch Files For Chapter 11 Bankruptcy But Says It Wishes To Continue Operating

Sea Launch, the company that provided a mid-ocean launch pad, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, but said it wishes to continue operations. The filing came after the company had rallied from a 2007 disaster in which a Zenit 3SL rocket and the NSS8 satellite were lost during an attempted launch from the Odyssey sea- going mobile pad. As well, the filing came in the same week that the sister operation Land Launch used a Zenit 3SLB rocket to orbit…
