Rheinmetall and ICEYE to Create Satellite Production Joint Venture in Germany

Germany's Rheinmetall AG and Finland's ICEYE said that they signed a memorandum of understanding on Thursday to create the Rheinmetall ICEYE Space Solutions joint venture--60 percent owned by Rheinmetall and 40 percent by ICEYE--to build synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and other satellites in Germany. "Production is to take place at the Neuss site, among others, and is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2026," the companies said.
