Navy Redesignating USNS Puller As Commissioned Warship

The Navy is commissioning its first Expeditionary Landing Base as a warship yesterday for greater Navy operational flexibility, the service said.The USNS Lewis B. Puller (T-ESB-3) Expeditionary Sea Base, initially operated by Military Sealift Command, will now be commissioned as the USS Lewis B.
