Nammo Says It Demonstrated 40mm Airburst Ammunition

Nammo has developed and demonstrated a 40mmx53 HV AirBurst round for the Automatic Grenade Launcher (AGL) Mk19 system, a candidate for the Anti-Defilade ammunition requirement from the U.S. Army, the company said on Wednesday. The 40mm AirBurst round was recently demonstrated at the NSA range at Ft. Benning, Ga. In attendance were representatives of the Army, Marine Corps, and U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM).
