GD-AIS Wins Navy Contract To Upgrade Sub Weapon Control System

General Dynamics [GD] Advanced Information Systems (GD-AIS), was recently awarded a $10.2 million first-year contract of a multi-year award by the Navy to provide upgrades to the submarine weapons control system (WCS) portion of the AN/BYG-1 submarine combat system, the company reported. GD-AIS will develop weapon control software and commercial off-the-shelf hardware upgrades for the AN/BYG-1 combat system on several classes of submarines.
