F-35 Program Retaining Funding for Fighter Pending TR-3 Qualification

The F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO) is to retain part of the funding for the Lockheed Martin [LMT] fighter pending qualification of Technology Refresh-3 (TR-3), the company said in an 8-K Securities and Exchange Commission filing on Monday. Under the JPO/Lockheed Martin agreement, "the JPO will withhold a portion of final aircraft delivery payments from the company until TR-3 combat capability is qualified and delivered," the 8-K said.
