Army Planning Initial Next-Gen C2 Awards In May, Prototype Deliveries Six Months Later

The Army is moving ahead with its Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) program of record, detailing plans to award contracts by May to be followed by initial prototype deliveries within six months. A new Request for Information notice released this week seeks industry’s feedback on the NGC2 prototyping plans, which seeks to provide “commanders and units at echelon an open and modular C2 ecosystem across hardware, software and applications with access to a common and integrated data layer.” “NGC2…
