General Dynamics [GD] Land Systems has received a $2.5 billion deal from the Army for production of the latest version of Double V Hull-configuration (DVH) A1 Strykers, the Pentagon announced Wednesday.

Work on the fixed-price-incentive contract is expected to be completed by the end of April 2027.

The deal covers the Engineering Change Proposal version of the  DVH A1 stryker, which includes upgrades to the vehicle’s engine, improved suspension, increased on-board electrical power and new computing technologies.

Last March, GD received two Army contracts totaling $2.7 billion for Stryker support work, including retrofitting vehicles and providing logistics services (Defense Daily, March 1 2019).
