The United Kingdom's Department for Transport has approved the use of OSI Systems' Rapiscan Division's 620DV Advanced Technology X-Ray system for use at aviation checkpoints in the U.K. The DfT previously approved the use of Smiths Detection's 6040 aTiX AT X-Ray system for use at airport checkpoints in the U.K. Both AT X-Ray systems were approved last year by the U.S. Transportation Security Administration for use at aviation checkpoints in the U.S.
