TSA Awards $41M to L-3 for EDS Systems

L-3 Communications [LLL] said last month that the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has awarded it a $41.4 million contract for eXaminer 3DX Explosives Detection Systems (EDS) equipped with the new 65.3 performance enhancing software. Over 800 eXaminers are operating at airports in the U.S. and internationally to screened checked bags for explosives.
