
The State Department has approved a potential $2.6 billion deal with Egypt for the sale of 23 CH-47F Chinook helicopters. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) notified Congress on Thursday of the foreign military sale. Along with the Boeing [BA]-built heavy-lift Chinook helicopters, Egypt would also receive 56 of Honeywell’s [HON] T-55 engines, 29 AN/AAR-57 Common Missile Warning Systems and 75 M-250 machines.
