Smiths Detection, Physical Sciences Demo Advanced Standoff Chem Detector

Smiths Detection, partnered with Physical Sciences Inc., is demonstrating a prototype of an advanced stand-off chemical detector known as the Adaptive Infrared Imaging System (AIRIS) at the Utah Dugway Proving Ground this month. The AIRIS employs a hyperspectral system developed by PSI that provides the capability to detect, identify and track chemical material from distances greater than five kilometers.
