Security Assistance Wins $48.5M to Support Mariner Credentialing

Security Assistance Corp. (SAC) has received a potential five-year, $48.5 million contract to provide technical and administrator support services to the Coast Guard National Maritime Center (NMC) related to the evaluation of merchant mariner credential applicants for professional qualifications, security, safety and suitability. SAC, a small support and consulting company based in Northern Virginia, will also operate a centralized mariner information call center at the NMC in Martinsburg, W.V. The contract includes a base year and four one-year options.
