Secret Service Plans IT Infrastructure Mod, Related Upgrades

The Secret Service plans to host a number of "predecessor" competitions to quickly acquire hardware and software elements and their installation, configuration and integration into its current information technology (IT) infrastructure. These acquisitions are to ensure that current IT assets continue to function effectively and seamlessly while the remainder of the initiative--which is the IT Infrastructure Modernization, Database Architecture and Maintenance and Cybersecurity initiative that was announced last fall and then cancelled--proceeds through the various phases.
