SBT Acquires Small Access Control Firm

Siemens Building Technologies (SBT), a division of Siemens [SI], has acquired Massachusetts-based MAC Systems, Inc., a small, woman owned provider of systems integration services for access control, security management, optical, and biometric access control systems. The acquisition reinforces SBT's position in the New England market. MAC's customers include research centers, universities, high security government facilities and other commercial buildings. MAC has 60 employees.
