Science Applications International Corp. [SAI] has received a $15.9 million contract to provide expertise and integration help to the Coast Guard Research and Development Center (RDC) in a number of functional areas. The indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity award is for five years. SAIC is the incumbent contractor supporting RDC. The functional areas include systems engineering design and development, naval architecture, operational test and evaluation, C4ISR, wide area surveillance, CBRNE detection and protection, marine fire safety research services, traditional Coast Guard missions, current RDC research areas such as sensor performance analysis, alternative energy and arctic operations, and integrated functional areas support.
