Raytheon Receives $4.3M from DNDO to Support Intermodal Nuke Screening

Raytheon [RTN] has received $4.3 million from the Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO) to support two Department of Energy laboratories, Sandia National and Savannah River to provide technical support related to concepts to scan intermodal containers at seaports that use straddle carriers for transshipment or direct-to- rail operations. The company received $2.8 million for secondary scanning support at Sandia and $1.5 million for primary scanning support at Savannah River, DNDO tells TR2.
