NICE Systems to Acquire Orsus for $22M

NICE Systems [NICE], a provider of intelligent analytic software for voice and video, has agreed to acquire Orsus, a supplier of security management software, for $22 million in cash. The deal would allow NICE to offer a security management platform combined with its analytic capabilities thereby providing customers more comprehensive solutions. Orsus' Situator open architecture software integrates with an array of security and safety sensors and alerting sources from different vendors, such as video cameras, access control, intrusion sensors, alarm…
