MDA Seeks Industry Info On Future AN/TPY-2 Missile Defense Radar Production

The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) is conducting market research on who can help produce the Army Navy/Transportable Radar Surveillance and Control Model 2 (AN/TPY-2) radar alongside future upgrades, according to a recent notice.  AN/TPY-2 is an X-band radar system built by RTX [RTX] and used in concert with the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) missile defense systems to detect, classify and track ballistic missiles.
