Intevac Gets DoD Award for Advanced Development

Intevac, Inc. [IVAC] says its Intevac Photonics division has received a $1 million contract from the Defense Department to develop advanced Raman spectroscopy systems for the detection of toxic material and pathogens for the military, and the detection of hazardous materials for civilian applications. Under the one-year contract new capabilities for ultra-sensitive detection and long-range detection will be developed.
