HAC-D Chairman Criticizes SECNAV For Submarine Cost Growth, Cites $17 Billion SSN Shoftfall

Rep. Ken Calvert (R-Calif.), chairman of the House Appropriations defense subcommittee, heavily criticized Secretary of the Navy Carlos Del Toro about significant cost overruns and delays in submarine and ship programs during a closed classified hearing on Sept. 19.
