DRS Technologies [DRS] and Smiths Detection have agreed to team to jointly develop and produce the model 4A Chemical/Biological Protective Shelter for the Defense Department under a potential 10-year indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity award. The award is potentially worth $190 million to DRS. The protective shelter is a highly mobile, self-contained collective protection system that provides a contamination free, environmentally controlled working area for medical combat services and combat service support personnel to work freely without continuously wearing chemical-biological protective…
