The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology (S&T) Directorate has issued a Request for Information (RFI) on currently available devices for the detection of weapons, explosives and contraband hidden within personal items, luggage or packages that could potentially meet various DHS requirements of portability, ruggedness and reliability. Demonstrations are planned in Oct. 2010.
