
JUMP up and Fly. A Northern California firm called Arcturus UAV has unveiled an unmanned aerial vehicle that can take off and land vertically and transition to fixed wing flight. Called JUMP, it uses four rotors on booms attached to the fuselage to get off the ground and reach altitude. Once up, the rotors shut off and a propeller at the plane’s nose takes it forward.
