Coast Guard Seeks Proposals for TWIC Handheld Readers

The Coast Guard has issued a Request for Proposals for handheld, biometric smart card readers under the Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) program. The service plans to award a single contract and acquire between 10 and 300 of the readers. The readers, including battery, should weigh less than four pounds. Sol. No. HSCG23-08-R- MMN450.
