Coast Guard Development Center Wants Info on Rescue Technology

The Coast Guard's Research and Development Center has issued a Request for Information as part of a market research effort to assess technologies that might permit outside intervention by rescue forces or good Samaritans in maritime mass-rescue incidents. The service seeks to identify both operationa and state-of-the-art technologies for maritime mass rescue. The equipment would be applicable for use on Coast Guard and government vessels 25-feet and larger or capable of being deployed from fixed or rotary-wing aircraft. The rescue…
