BAE Nabs LSD-50 Repair Contract

BAE Systems’ Norfolk Ship Repair facility in Virginia won an $87 million Navy contract to perform maintenance, modernization and repair of the USS Carter Hall (LSD-50) this year. The contract, awarded Monday, specifically covers a fiscal year 2024 Chief of Naval Operations docking selected restricted availability (DSRA). This includes all of the labor, supervision, equipment, production, testing, facilities, and quality assurance necessary to prepare for and accomplish modernization and repair work.
