American Science and Engineering [ASEI] has received a $2 million from the U.S. government for two Z Backscatter Vans (ZBVs) that will be used to scan vehicles for explosives before entering a secure high-threat facility. The ZBVs will also be configured for harsh environments and remote operation in stationary scan mode. "This latest order from the U.S. government reaffirms the value of the ZBV to secure U.S. government high-threat facilities around the world," says Anthony Fabiano, AS&E's president and CEO.
