Army Awards Epirus $17 Million To Integrate New Sensor Suite For IFPC-HPM Counter-Drone System

Epirus has received a $17 million contract from the Army to upgrade the company’s high-power microwave (HPM) drone killer with a new radar and electro-optic and infrared sensor (EO/OR) suite to more quickly and accurately engage targets, the startup said on Monday. The new sensor package is driven by lessons the Army learned earlier this year during engineering and development testing (EDT) using the company’s prototypes of the Integrated Fires Protection Capability (IFPC)-HPM.
