Analogic Receives $6.9M to Complete Work on eXaminer XLB

Analogic [ALOG] has received a $6.9 million contract from L-3 Communications [LLL] for operational hardening and final testing of the eXaminer XLB (Extra Large Bore) high speed, automatic, inline Explosive Detection System. Analogic expects its work under the contract to result in certification by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) with eXaminer XLB available for shipment by L-3 in August 2009. The award is part of a $10.5 million contract from the TSA to L-3 to finish preparing the XLB system…
