Air Force Given Lead To Transition Joint Fires Network From Prototype To Program

NATIONAL HARBOR, Md.—Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall this week said that the service has been named the executive agent to lead the transition of a prototype battle management system effort into an executable program, beginning with U.S. Indo-Pacific Command. The Joint Fires Network (JFN) prototyping efforts have been overseen by the Research and Engineering Office within the Office of the Secretary of Defense.
