Guillot Wants Authorization To Defeat Drones At All U.S. Military Installations

The Defense Department is allowed to mitigate threats from small drones at about half of its domestic military installations, but those authorities should extend to all bases in the country, the commander of U.S. Northern Command said on Thursday. In 2024, there were more than 350 reported drone detections over 100 military installations, including “super sensitive sites” as well as fighter, Army, and Navy bases, Gen.
