BAE Wins $295 Million Contract for USS Kearsarge Modernization Work

The Navy awarded BAE Systems a $295 million contract on Dec. 9 to conduct modernization and repair work on the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD-3) in fiscal year 2023. The contract includes options that, if exercised, would raise the total firm-fixed-price contract action value to over $340 million. BAE said under this docking selected restricted availability (DSRA) contract, its Norfolk Ship Repair facility in Virginia will perform more than 20 months of maintenance and modernization work on LHD-3…
