Army Delays Delivery Of ITEP Engine For FARA Prototypes Until Spring 2023

Delivery of the Army’s new helicopter engine to the vendors building prototypes for the Army’s Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft (FARA) program has been pushed back until spring 2023, the service confirmed to Defense Daily.  The delay, first reported by Inside Defense, is due to supply chain challenges, according to the Army’s Program Executive Office-Aviation. Army officials had previously targeted November for delivery of the General Electric Aviation [GE]-built T901 engines, which was developed under the Improved Turbine Engine Program (ITEP). …
