U.K. Taps AgustaWestland For Sea King Helo Support

The U.K. Ministry of Defense yesterday said it has agreed to an approximately $419.9 million contract with Finmeccanica’s AgustaWestland to support Sea King helicopters. The work will sustain 500 jobs across the United Kingdom, while supporting military operational readiness policy. The Royal Navy and Royal Air Force Sea King fleets are best known for providing Search and Rescue (SAR) services in the United Kingdom and Falkland Islands.
