Navy Expects To Complete AoA For LSD(X) Next Year, Admiral Says

The Navy expects to complete an analysis of alternatives (AoA) for the envisioned LSD(X) next year with foreign designs among the range of options, Rear Adm. David Lewis, the service's program executive officer for ships, said Friday. Lewis said he anticipates the AoA will be complete in "about a year" as the Navy reviews the various options for the next class of amphibious dock landing ships.
